Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 88-92 (2015 January)

Relatively strong reduction flattens the underlying fruit and renders the nose impossible to assess. There is good size, weight and intensity to the intensely mineral-driven and sleekly muscular middle weight plus flavors that are linear and austere to the point of being strict, indeed even severe. Again there is a lot of gas present so this may harmonize but it would be fair to describe the finish as awkward today.
